Ring in the spring with competing depictions of the divine and the profane. Guest pianist Mari Kawamura joins Davidson鈥檚 William Fried for performances of two twentieth century classics: Stravinsky鈥檚 transgressive, riot-inducing The Rite of Spring, now in a lean, new arrangement; and Messiaen鈥檚 heavenly Visions de l鈥檃men, originally composed and premiered in WWII occupied Paris.
