Whatever your major, a data science minor provides transferable skills such as understanding data and its different forms, communicating effectively about data, methods, and conclusions and drawing meaning from data.

Learning Beyond the Classroom

Many students choose to pursue experiential learning opportunities related to data science, programs, or research. The department is also able to offer opportunities for learning beyond the classroom ranging from generous grants to annual symposia on ethics in the healthcare professions.

Stay Connected

Join the Data Science Student Group to receive emails on programming information, upcoming events, and opportunities. Recent alumni using a non-Davidson email may email us datasci@davidson.edu and request group membership. Current students, faculty and staff: 

  1. Be sure you are logged into your Davidson email account and open Outlook.
  2. On the Home tab, select Browse Groups. This maybe a right click or click on the 鈥...鈥 on the navigation bar to see this option.
  3. In the search box, enter Data Science Student Group.
  4. Scroll to the Data Science Student Group and select Join.

You should receive a welcome message from the Data Science Student Group and the group will be added to your Outlook Group list. If you have any problems subscribing to this Outlook Group, contact us at datasci@davidson.edu.
