If you are interested in pursuing honors, please inform the chair of department of your decision and contact a professor in the department to invite him/her to direct your thesis.
Your proposal needs to be submitted no later than the second week of the fall semester. During the fall semester of your senior year you should be enrolled in Spanish 498 (besides your Senior Seminar I). You will select your honor thesis committee later in the process.
Once your director has accepted to work with you on your candidacy for honors, please send the department chair the appropriate information including the name of the professor that has accepted to direct your honor thesis, and a comment about the general topic you are interested in researching.
For additional information about the Hispanic Studies Honors Program or if you have questions, please contact the department chair, Prof. Kyra Kietrys.
