Mobile CatCard Now Available
Access your CatCard, buildings and spaces, meal plans and dining dollars conveniently on your iPhone, Apple Watch, or Android device.
Anywhere you can swipe a CatCard, you will be able to use your iPhone, Android or Apple Watch. Use it the same way you have always used your plastic card – simply tap the reader with your device instead of your card.
How Do I Get Started?
Begin by downloading the "Atrium Campus Connect" app. Once you have the app, follow these instructions for Apple and Android users:
- Apple Users: After signing in using SSO, you should see a dropdown arrow next to your Atrium photo. From there you can provision the mobile credential to your Apple or Android wallet.
- Android Users: After signing in using SSO, you should see a grey box that reads "credentials." Click on it to activate your mobile credential. Please note Android credentials are not provisioned through the Google wallet.
Frequently Asked Questions
Please contact CatCard Services - we are here to help.
You can use your CatCard on up to two devices (one iPhone and one Apple Watch) that are signed into iCloud with the same Apple ID.
If you lose your device, use "Find My iPhone" to suspend or deactivate your CatCard in Apple Wallet. Notify CatCard Services that your device has been lost so we can deactivate the card in the Wallet for that device.
If you find your device, you can reactivate it via iCloud or by contacting CatCard Services during business hours.
If you get a new device, first remove your pass from your old device in the Apple Wallet app. Once removed, you can add your pass to the new device.
On iPhone XS, XS Max, XR, and more recent versions, Express Mode with power reserve is available for up to five hours after the device’s battery needs to be charged. Additionally, it can be used even if your iPhone or Apple Watch does not have network connectivity, as the CatCard is stored on your device.
If you are having any difficulty using your CatCard to complete a transaction, report any issues to CatCard Services so we can investigate.
When you add the mobile credential to your phone, your physical card will not longer be recognized. However, initially no one is required to move from a physical card to a mobile credential. You can continue to simply use your physical card. Eventually the college may choose to only offer a digital CatCard, but that is not in our plans currently.
HID Mobile Access employs a multi-layered security approach, integrating strong cryptographic protections, device-specific key diversification, and secure communication protocols. It leverages Seos technology, which ensures encrypted and authenticated transactions resistant to cloning, replay, and man-in-the-middle attacks.
Mobile IDs are securely stored in an encrypted vault within the mobile app sandbox, and cryptographic keys are never stored in a way that could compromise security. The solution supports both NFC for communication with readers while ensuring strong authentication through certificate pinning and optional two-factor authentication.
HID mobile credentials follows industry best practices such as ISO/IEC 27001 compliance, regular penetration testing, and continuous security updates. Additionally, strict access controls, secure cloud storage, and privacy-focused data collection policies reinforce user data protection.
