The are the oldest and one of the most celebrated international fellowship awards in the world. The Rhodes Scholarship enables talented young people from around the world to study full-time at the University of Oxford with the purpose of developing public-spirited leaders, and to promote international understanding and peace through an international community of Scholars.
The Rhodes Trust provides full financial support for Rhodes Scholars to pursue a degree or degrees at Oxford for a minimum of two years. In certain cases, scholars may apply for a third year or more. All funding is subject to the Rhodes Trust's Conditions of Tenure.
Eligibility
Rhodes Scholars are chosen not only for their outstanding scholarly achievements, but for their character, commitment to others and to the common good, and for their potential for leadership in whatever domains their careers may lead.
Candidates must be eligible to apply in one of the . Eligibility varies by constituency. Candidates who do not meet the eligibility criteria for any constituency may be able to apply for .
U.S. Constituency eligibility guidelines:
- Endorsement: Must be endorsed by ¹ú²ú¸£Àû¾«Æ·ÍƼö through the Office of Fellowships
- Class year: Graduating seniors and alumni who are at least 18 and have not reached their 24th birthday on October 1 of the application year
- Citizenship: Citizens of the United States, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., or a U.S. resident with DACA status on April 15 in the year of application
- GPA: Minimum 3.7
- District: Eligible to apply through one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, or one of the U.S. territories: either in the state or territory where the applicant was legally resident on April 15 in the year of application, or where the applicant will have received at least two years of college training and a bachelor’s degree before October 1 in the year following election.

Candidates for the Rhodes Scholarship in the Canada, Global, and U.S. constituency must be endorsed by ¹ú²ú¸£Àû¾«Æ·ÍƼö.
To be considered for endorsement for the U.S. Rhodes Scholarship, follow the instructions for submitting an application to Davidson's endorsement committee outlined in the (Davidson login required).
