Civic Impact Through Public-Facing Art

The Grier Martin, Class of 1932, and Louise McMichael Martin Program on Arts and Public Life brings together artists, scholars, students, and community members to build community and examine pressing social and political issues through creative practice. 

The program explores how the arts can shape civic understanding, spark ethical reflection, and inspire public dialogue. By engaging the imagination, the arts help people see differently—and act differently—in community with others.
